This blog is part of an assignment for my Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Health Promotion. I decided to pursue my Masters in Public Health because it encompasses many facets of life and provides endless opportunities to positively impact the lives of others. Under God’s direction, and with the supervision of those who have gone before me, it is my desire to improve the outcomes for youth in Hardy County. By providing a safe place to play, learn and grow in a healthy environment, supporting families and increasing opportunities, steering youth toward positive encounters for better lives, we will make a difference. Although at this point, this blog is part of an assignment, I truly believe in this mission for our children and will strive to make the Hardy County Boys and Girls Club a reality rather than an untested dream.

I continue to build on this possibility. I am beginning to research potential grant makers for the program. Once I graduate in May I will be more interested in attempting more seriously to commit to this possibility for the children of Hardy County.
